The TESOL and Applied Linguistics Programs at Teachers College, Columbia are seeking a lecturer with demonstrated teaching experience and research interests in language pedagogy. The term for the position is one-year and the position is non-renewable. The Lecturer will teach graduate courses in L2 methods, language teaching practicum and field work courses in either the MA general or K-12

tracks. The teaching load is five three-credit courses per academic year with the possibility of teaching summer courses for extra pay, advising M.A. students, and possibly serving on dissertation committees. The position requires an earned doctorate in TESOL/Applied Linguistics, evidence of scholarship potential in language pedagogy, a record of successful ESL/EFL teaching experience–preferably with some experience in US K-12 settings, experience supervising student teachers, a demonstrated record of graduate level teaching, evidence of service to the field of TESOL/Applied Linguistics, the ability to perform administrative duties, and ability to work collaboratively.
