Monterey Peninsula College is currently accepting applications for a part-time teaching assignment in English for the Fall 2008 semester. The Instructor will teach English 1A-Composition and Analytical Reading, with a focus on ESL students. This course is designed to engage students in the analysis, discussion, and appreciation of ideas and literary craft in essays

and books by professional writers. The position requires a Master’s in English, literature, comparative literature, or composition; OR a Bachelor’s in any of the above AND a Master’s in linguistics, TESL, speech, education with a specialization in reading, creative writing, or journalism; OR the equivalent. Applicants must submit a completed District application, current resume, and copies of transcripts.
